Ethiopia is home to a wide range of photographic highlights. This extraordinary journey takes us through breathtaking landscapes, such as the Danakil Depression in the Arfa region, the most colorful place in the world, the Simien Mountains with the endemic blood baboons, to the falls of the Blue Nile, to many historical buildings that belong to the Unesco World Heritage, like the rock churches of Lalibela, the castle complexes in Gondar. We come to Axum, Yeha, Gheralta, Wukro and many more places of prime interest. In the south of the country we will immerse ourselves intensively in archaic cultures.
Why this trip is so special:
With our excellent guides we will go into a largely unknown, archaic world of primitive peoples in southern Ethiopia. We get to know the still very primitive living tribes of the Dorze, Mursi, Ari, Karo, Dassenech, Ebore, Hamer and Konso and others along the Omo River. Our guide comes from the Omo Valley and is very familiar with the individual tribes. He will integrate us there as guests. Therefore we have the opportunity to experience the people authentically and to get extraordinary portraits. We will not, as often described, pay for the individual photos. Our guide supports the individual village communities appropriately. This is included in the travel price and guarantees us hospitable encounters.
